Coychurch Higher Community Council has a thriving allotment in Heol Y Cyw and which has a waiting list. In the last 18 months, a lot of work and money has been spent in improving the site and it is a much valued resource for residents.

However, BCBC have included the allotment in the Bridgend Local Development Plan 2018-2033 for recreational and residential purposes. Needless to say, this has caused concern for those who use the allotments and the Community Council has concerns over the impact this will have on residents health and wellbeing.
